What are the risks or possible complications of Botox®?
Serious complications are rare with Botox®. On occasion, some people will develop a headache after the treatment. However, it is more common for people who have frequent headaches to report fewer of them after receiving Botox®. Other rare side effects following injection include temporary eyelid droop and nausea. Localized tenderness and swelling, redness, bleeding/bruising, and infection may be associated with the injection.
