Dermal Fillers • FAQ
How do Dermal Fillers work?
Dermal fillers add volume to the skin, instantly diminishing the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and giving a natural softer look. It is long-lasting but not permanent.
What areas can be treated?
Dermal fillers can be used to smooth away facial lines and wrinkles, create fuller lips and shape facial contours, such as cheeks and chin. The most common areas are the nasolabial folds (nose to mouth lines) and around the lips (treating “smokers lines”, adding volume and shape to lips). Volumization treatments are becoming more popular – improving soft-tissue volume loss not just individual lines.
How is Dermal Filler administered?
Depending on the area treated, a local or topical anesthetic may be used to decrease discomfort during the procedure. The Dermal Filler is then injected using a very fine needle.
